About
I'm Stephanie Mason-Teague, the creative force behind EmptyMess® and a storyteller at heart. My life's journey brought me to Florida, where I followed my dreams at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. My passion for flying opened doors to unexpected adventures, including meeting my husband and starting a lifelong journey of love and learning.
After leaving flight school, I rediscovered my love for storytelling, which led me to the world of film and television. I hosted the popular DIY series "House to Home" on PBS and took a significant role in rejuvenating the Daytona Beach Film Festival. My commitment to the arts didn't stop there; I founded Cinematique, a unique theater celebrating independent and foreign films, and later ventured into leadership roles at prestigious institutions like the Museum of Arts and Sciences and the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens.
But perhaps my most personal and profound chapter began with becoming an empty nester. Recognizing the emotional challenges and opportunities this phase brings, I founded EmptyMess®. This initiative is more than just a platform; it's a community where I share my experiences, connect with others, and offer guidance on navigating this new chapter in life. Through my weekly stories, DIY video series "Things I Forgot to Teach My Kids," and various speaking engagements, I aim to inspire others to choose happiness and make this phase of life their time to shine.
Join me as I share my journey, discussing how embracing change, fostering creativity, and building community can transform the so-called "empty nest" into a fulfilling and vibrant stage of life. Let's explore together how every challenge can be an opportunity for growth and joy. Welcome to the world of EmptyMess® – It’s our time to shine!
